Inpatient Psychiatry (General Adult) Substantive position Full time/Part time/job share Service summary A full time consultant post in adult inpatient psychiatry is now available based at Knowsley Recovery and Resource Centre Whiston General Hospital, Coniston Ward. The inpatient unit job constitutes 10 PAs . Roles and Responsibilities The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in the service working alongside a well resourced, experienced and enthusiastic inpatient team. The post holder will have to demonstrate a commitment to clinical excellence and should have the ability to work as part of multidisciplinary team. The main responsibilities will be to provide clinical, educational, managerial, and leadership contribution to the team on the unit. The post holder will work closely with colleagues in management, innovating to develop and maintain an excellent service. Person specification The post holder should have MRCPsych or equivalent with full registration, licence to practice and specialist registered or within 6 months of obtaining CCT on the date of the advisory appointment committee. The post is suitable for those who have CCT in General Adult Psychiatry. The post holder should have excellent knowledge in assessing and providing mental health interventions in an inpatient setting.
