Job Description
Vacancy: Trainee Mechanical Operative Location: Doncaster (DN4) Hours: Rotating Shift Pattern (06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00, 22:00 - 06:00) Rate of Pay: £8.72 per hour + overtime x1.25 rising after 12 weeks with overtime then at x1.5 Status: Temp to Perm The Client: Our client is a fast paced manufacturing company well established in the DN4 area of Doncaster. The Role: To ensure that all production machines run and are maintained to the highest standards and to assist with Break downs and repairs. Main duties and responsibilities: * Ensure good housekeeping and health and safety * MP2 Maintenance Checks * Quality checks and records * Operating fast moving commercial goods machinery (FMCG). * Production outputs * Assist with machine repairs and maintenance * Spare part control and usage * Assist and provide cover for other production roles as required The Applicant: Candidates should ideally be a qualified fitter/mechanic or be able to demonstrate that they are strongly mechanically minded. This role would suit a candidate who has recently completed their apprenticeship Having shown their commitment to quality and production output they should have also already demonstrated their interest to move into a more responsible role. A flexible team player they will be expected to work on their own initiative and be prepared to learn other skills and assist with the coaching of other members of the team. Candidates just leaving education who would like to get a foot in the door and some experience would definitely be considered. No minimum qualification level required but a level 2 qualification would be preferred.
