We are currently recruiting for a Senior Network Engineer who is an experienced Cisco CCNP Security Network Engineer based from our London Office. The successful candidate will be a hands on Network Engineer with CCNP Security (Essential) and practical experience of working on Cisco firewalls, routing and switching, security. Customer facing skills are required as the you may need to meet and discuss technical solutions with the customer and Service Delivery Manager face to face. The role is hands on but there is the opportunity to develop managerial experience, to look after a small team of network engineers and training and support will be provided. This role will suite someone who is hands on in a team leader role currently and looking for development. RESPONSIBILITIES YOU WILL: Provide telephone and remote technical support for IT Services customers and support contract customers. Manage clients contracted Service Level Agreements (SLA's) and associated reporting including Lean and Visual Management Information Ensure support is provided to managed serviced customers using management software as appropriate, respond and update the IT Services Insight monitoring system for problems Engage with IT Services team to help design, plan and implement network solutions. Create and test network solutions, document network solutions and on-going changes and ensure change management is handled in a controlled appropriate manner in line with IT Services processes Responsible and participate in provision of 24/7 on call rota and to be available to cover holidays, sickness and escalations. Lead the Solutions Support Engineers by providing support, coaching and performance management and ensuring professional development and cross training. Ensure engineers record their productivity & review to ensure adequate resources at all times. Document, implement and review procedures and processes to provide a first class technical offering. REQUIREMENTS: YOU WILL HAVE: EXPERIENCE: Managing a team Designed multiple high value solutions Industry credibility Experience of managing and maintaining a network monitoring service including support infrastructure Conducting technical peer reviews and approvals for solutions to ensure right first time project delivery Ability to price complex technical solutions and managed service contracts including renewals Commercially focused Vendor Management and Accreditation compliance (Desirable) Networking Mentoring Solutions (Desirable) QUALIFICATIONS: Vendor Design Qualifications and practical experience with e.g. Cisco CCIE, RCDD or Other Cisco CCNP in Security (Essential) Working knowledge of ISE & Firepower skills an advantage Qualifications in Microsoft Windows, Linux and security technologies an advantage Degree or Management Diploma Industry Memberships e.g IET, BSIA or Other (Desirable) About Us We are one of the leading independent engineering and services businesses in the UK.
