Job Description
Our client provides Supported Living Services for a diverse range of adults with a range of mental health disorders. They are currently looking for a passionate and proactive Mental Health Support Worker (Night Worker) to join their team in Thatcham. It is our client's fundamental belief that to deliver great care, you employ great people, who consistently work to promote and uphold high care standards. Key Responsibilities * Promote and respect the service users' rights to choice, independence and control * Assist service users with all personal care needs including undressing, washing, bathing and toileting needs * Promote the mental and physical well-being of all service users through activities such as reading, writing and hobbies * Understand and undertake the tasks detailed in the service users care plans using a person-centred approach * Provide input into the care plans in consultation with the service user and multidisciplinary teams * Assist service users in the correct administration of their medications, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed correctly * Read and write reports, taking part in staff and service users' meetings and in training activities as directed Excellent team working skills, motivation and a passion for working with adults with mental health disorders are key requirements for this role.
