Fixed term 12 months or secondment from external NHS Trusts This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical or Counselling Health Psychologist. We are seeking a senior psychologist to join the Clinical Health Psychology Service, Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BHFT). There will be future permanent employment opportunities. The post is to primarily lead the Clinical Health Psychology Pain Management Service delivered at The Royal Berkshire Hospital. It will also involve other areas of leadership in the management of clinical health psychology services for people experiencing physical health conditions, currently: Rheumatology, Audiology and Chronic Fatigue. The post holder will join a team of psychologists to provide a specialist clinical health psychology service to clients who are receiving care from the Royal Berkshire Hospital Pain Management Service. They will work alongside consultants, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide a multidisciplinary approach to assessment and treatment within the hospital setting, including providing individual sessions, group courses and multi-disciplinary team work. The Clinical Health Psychology Service (CHPS) is passionate about offering psychological support to people in a variety of physical health areas including pain management, rheumatology, CFS, audiology, cancer, palliative care, gastroenterology, diabetes & endocrinology, bariatric and renal, and we are excited to offer this opportunity.
