Join us a full-time or part-time Support Worker (experienced or not) and you'll see why! About the Role Our friendly team of support workers are based at our small, homely residential care service in the village of Bursledon , where we support six adults (aged from 36 - 63) with a wide range of learning disabilities. Together with our current team you will play a key part in assisting people to live as independently as possible. You will help them be active members of their local community, joining in with their favourite pastimes and hobbies, such as going to the cinema, hydro, and going out for meals or to the theatre; They also like sports such as football, musicals,and crafts. The most important thing for the people we support here is that their staff are happy and do not rush them. Personal care is also required. We have openings for full-time (37.5 hpw) or part-time (20 hpw). Shifts are worked on a rota basis to include days, evenings, nights, weekends and optional sleep-ins (1 per week). Shift times are 7.15am - 3pm and 2.30pm - 10pm. CQC Report Oct 2018 - "There was a positive, supportive and open culture within the home. What we need from you Although it can be helpful if you have experience as a care worker or healthcare assistant, this isn't essential. We provide a full induction and free training programme. What we need from you Firstly, you don't need experience to become a Support Worker but it's not easy. The work can be demanding and challenging at times but no 2 days are the same and the reward of seeing YOUR personal impact is incredibly inspiring and it's something you'll never forget. As long as you have the passion and drive to want to make a real difference, we'll teach you the rest. With your key attributes and our training, together we can deliver the best possible support. It is essential for these positions that you hold a full manual driving licence which allows you to drive in the UK, as you will be required to drive the service vehicle. You must also be over 22 years of age in order to comply with the insurance requirements.
