Group Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer? Do you have experience of maintaining as well as fitting heavy textile manufacturing machinery? Can you travel around various sites in Greater Manchester? Based in Rochdale, you'll join this business as a Group Mechanical Maintenance Engineer . You'll work on a standard day shift, however there will be lots of overtime available - you'll also need to be flexible with regards to planned and reactive maintenance which would usually take place on a weekend or possibly a bank holiday. You will have previously worked in a similar role, ideally within textiles . About You * It's essential that you have previously installed and maintained large machinery in the textile manufacturing field * Ideally you'll have a relevant trade apprenticeship with at least 3years experience within a similar role * It would help your application if you have some experience in electrical engineering and have had exposure to PLC's * You'll be a good team player - they are a close-knit team, and everybody mucks in during busy periods * You should have your own transport as you may need to provide cover at other local sites as well as collecting parts The Company * An impressive textile manufacturer * They have excellent staff retention - we know this as we've worked with them for almost 20 years now!
