ESSEX PARTNERSHIP UNIVERSITY NHS TRUST SPECIALIST MENTAL HEALTH TEAM- MID ESSEX COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH NURSE AFC BAND 6 HOURS : 37.5 per week We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced and motivated nurse with demonstrable skills in assessment of people with diverse mental health needs. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team within Adult Community Mental Health services. The Specialist Recovery team covers a large area across Mid Essex working with service users with complex and enduring needs. The team works with service users who have a Non Psychotic diagnosis, with a focus on empowerment, enablement and recovery. We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Mental Health Nurse who is committed to working in partnership with clients/carers and a range of other care staff and agencies to provide truly person centred services. You must have excellent communication skills, demonstrable experience of comprehensive assessment of patients' needs, be committed to work effectively in a multi disciplinary team setting and demonstrate a commitment to further development with the support of the team. You must have an awareness of current health and social care issues that affect community care and people with significant mental health needs. You will be expected to assess, signpost and liaise with Primary care and voluntary services to ensure the needs of the patient are met in the most clinically appropriate way. In return you will benefit from excellent clinical supervision and working within a multi-professional team. Your active participation in providing a variety of learning opportunities for students and participating in training initiatives in general will be an essential part of the role. The post also offers the opportunity to actively influence and participate in the development of services to people with mental health needs living in the Castlepoint, Rayleigh and Rochford District.
