Job Description

The Position Dotmatics is a fast growing and exciting international SME Tech business and is looking for a Newly Qualified Accountant to support the business with its ambitious growth plans. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Newly Qualified Accountant will take responsibility for Financial and Management Accounting, Finance and Operational Controls, Technical Accounting and Taxation. We are searching for an ambitious and commercially astute Finance Professional who enjoys being part of a dynamic and fast paced environment.Strong management, interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role. Specific responsibilities: Produce the monthly consolidated Management Accounts Manage a team of 4 accounts staff Provide ad-hoc management reports Provide variance analysis and commentary Improve management reports as agreed with Financial Controller and CFO Perform key balance sheet reconciliation tasks and central journal postings Address any inaccuracies or differences within financial records to ensure accuracy, quality and completeness of all data Assist with preparation of year end accounts, liaising with auditors as required Prepare annual statutory accounts for various entities, including reconciliation of statutory accounts with management accounts Person specification: CA, CIMA or ACCA accounting qualification with 1 to 3 years PQE Advanced Excel skills Experience of motivating and developing a team Excellent attention to detail Exceptional communication skills with senior stake holder management exposure Technically sound with multi-currency experience, and consolidation Practical knowledge of company taxation matters Experience of accounting systems - NetSuite experience would be advantageous Reports to Financial Controller Company Outline Dotmatics is a leading global scientific informatics software and services provider, delivering solutions tailored to the modern, highly collaborative and mobile scientific environments.
