Behaviours: Knowledge of relevant procedures Level of customer Service Team Player Health and safety awareness and knowledge Communication Job Description Objective: To assist the Supervisor in ensuring an efficient security service across all UK sites in all aspects of security requirements and taking responsibility for ensuring smooth/professional day-to-day running of security systems and functions as well as man management responsibilities. Ensuring all security duties are carried out in full. Rota : 3 Days 3 Nights 3 Off - 11.82ph Duties: * To assist the Supervisor in the day-to-day running of the security team. * To ensure all duties completed in full, including the handover. * Report any significant security breaches to the Security Contracts Manager, Supervisor to record and produce detailed reports on all incidents to Interxion management * To assist in any security / equipment investigations, i.e. thefts, missing items, complaints etc. * Provide customer / client liaison as and when required. * Ensure that Incident reports are filled as and when required. * Carry out audits as and when required or instructed. * Ensure hand over is done with incoming shift officers. * Necessary call outs are to be made in the event of client's system failure. * Ensure Assignment Instructions are adhered to at all times. * Ensure that any important messages are conveyed in the Security Handover and that all security personnel read and acknowledge them * Ensuring all logs are being kept up to date. * Follow correct procedures in the event of a crisis situation arising. * Carrying out in a professional and diligent manner all other duties properly assignable to the position of Security Officer. * Manage Good In/Out process. Qualifications Person Specification * Must hold a valid SIA Licence * Previous Data Centre experience preferable * Must have IT skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook * Hold a First Aid at work certificate or be prepared to carry out relevant training. Aptitude & Attitude * Post holder must be able to demonstrate: * Good literacy and communication skills and have excellent verbal and written English * Possess a good telephone manner * Be computer and software literate * Personal Attributes * A consistently smart appearance * Reliability, self- motivation and ability to use own initiative and work without supervision * The ability to solve problems, make decisions and prioritise. * The ability, tact and diplomacy to deal with people at all levels * Self-confidence and an interest in self-development * An interest in the continuous improvement of the Company's performance * The nature of the role is such that it is essential that the post holder has and will maintain an excellent record of attendance and timekeeping. * Fit enough to perform manual handling tasks relevant to goods In/Out process.
