INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER TRADING FIRM UP TO 78k + BONUS & BENEFITS LONDON My client are a high calibre commodities trading company based in the city of London with a brand new requirement for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for assisting with the design, development and ongoing maintenance of the IT Support for desktop, server, network, telephony, electronic trading & market data applications. This role with assist and report to the Head of IT. Person Specification: As this work involves day to day interaction with colleagues, vendors and on occasion clients the ability to work under pressure in a disciplined and organised fashion with a consistently positive and enthusiastic manner is essential. * In-depth understanding of Investment Bank Telecommunication related technology and Market Data Feed requirements. In-depth understanding of Microsoft server technologies including, but not limited, to Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, File & Print, DFS & SCCM. * In-depth understanding of VMware. * Good understanding of storage technology (Dell EMC) * Good understanding of Microsoft Office and other generally used desktop productivity applications. * In-depth understanding of data backup strategies and technologies (Commvault & Veeam). * Understanding of Business Continuity Planning. * Understanding of firewalls and other security based technology and industry best practices for all aspects of IT infrastructure security (Palo Alto, Symantec).  Good understanding of network technology (Cisco). * Understanding of Office 365, Azure & AWS. * Procurement & vendor management including managing licensing and contracts. * Able to work with minimum supervision, good organisational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
