Job Description
The Localisation Coordinator's main responsibility is to assist in the coordination, commissioning and supply of localised (in hebrew) film, TV, music and trailer assets (subtitles, dubbing, synopsis sourcing and translation) in over 12 languages. This role would suit a language graduate looking for a start in the media with a focus on the video-on-demand business. + The role is measured by how well the Coordinator's responsibilities are completed whilst working to a deadline + In addition, the role is measured by how well the person works independently, as a team member and in collaboration with other departments + Deliverables are sourcing of editorial metadata (localised title and synopsis), subtitles from suppliers or studios, re-timing, managing transcode work orders, QA checking and delivering on time to schedule, escalating issues, communicating to internal customers, team and departments + How is the role split time wise? 90% operational (localisation tasks) 10% administration (meetings, reporting, supplier communication) Role and Responsibilities + You will be responsible for the compiling of all localised Language Versions within VUBIQUITY's CMS + You will be responsible for the ordering and management of subtitles in the local language and carry out QA checks, re-time/re-synch subtitles to the media file, using specialist software + You will be responsible for the sourcing or translation of synopses from English into the language as required by territory and in the style appropriate to the customer User Interface + You will engage with language houses, studios, tracking progress of orders to ensure all deadlines are covered, and quality standards are met; escalating issues to relevant parties, internally and externally + You will be responsible for translating titles and synopses where relevant + You will need to ensure all metadata in the CMS meets VUBIQUITY's quality standards in order to comply with the customer User Interface. + You will be liaising with the internal Client Services and Operational teams on delivery deadlines, and handle status updates and queries in a professional manner + When requested by Supervisor or Services Manager, you will carry out ad hoc task + You will monitor the progress of localisation through various stages, ensuring all everything is completed on time and to the expected standard + You will remedy faults/issues where appropriate, including reacting to incidents when and as they occur through to resolution + Excellent spoken and written language skills as required by region + Hebrew native speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills in the local language required + Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English + High degree of computer literacy, with an aptitude for learning new technology and software + The ability to react quickly and constructively in order to troubleshoot problems + Effective time management and multi-tasking skills + Ability to work well under pressure + Ability to make clear decisions and communicate and document decisions made clearly + Ability to work on own initiative and proactively prevent problems from occurring + Ability to work independently and as part of the team + Meticulous attention to detail + Some understanding of digital media technologies (preferably VOD) including, encoding standards and tools, automated quality control tools + Experience with common office applications (such as MS Word, MS Excel) and use of line of business operational applications ID: 2020-2735 External Company Name: Vubiquity External Company URL: www.vubiquity.com Street: 3 More London Telecommute: No
