Job Description
Goal 1: There are approx. 148 MFD's and 308 single function printers that rely on the Safecom authentication application & card readers to provide print services across Client users. Presently this application sits on ten Server 2008 servers. The goal of this work is to replace the 10 existing Safecom print servers with 7 new secure print servers (3x Pre-Prod / 4x Prod) that are running Server 2019. Goal 2: All client print queues are handled by a print cluster running Server 2008. There are approx. 300 - 400 active print queues that this cluster hosts. The Goal of this work is to Replace the existing print cluster (HAVWI117/PORWI117) that are running Server 2008, with two new servers (1x Pre-Prod / 1x Prod) running Server 2019. Profile:- General:- Wintel Engineer - Projects or BAU background (3rd/4th Line - 5 years plus) experience of Windows Server 2003 - 2019 Including associated Infrastructure Services (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO Management) Experience of delivering Windows Infrastructure Projects to large Enterprise environments Delivery of Projects from Design Documents Specific:- Windows printing Windows Failover Clustering (2003, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019) PowerShell Scripting Networking (TCP/IP, WAN, SNMP, SMTP,RDP, LDAP) Virtualisation (Hyper-V and VMWare) Safecom Print Servers (Secure Print)
