Job Description

We are seeking an experienced high quality render/marketing artist with world class composition and paint abilities. Composition is key in this important role. The successful candidate will work with Art Directors and creative stakeholders across our portfolio of games to create dynamic digital art for marketing, branding and presentation. Hutch makes games relating to racing and cars. The successful candidate will be capable of composing stunning high speed action shots involving multiple vehicles and automotive beauty shots in a variety of locations, environments and lighting conditions. Requirements Artistry The candidate will contribute to ideas at an early stage of the visual design brief, providing thumbnails and mock-ups. It's imperative that the candidate has solid foundational art skills and is able to iterate quickly and efficiently. We also expect the candidate to possess: A comprehensive understanding of compositional rules and values Innate sense of colour and able to demonstrate a solid understanding of colour theory A good feel for the effects of light and atmospherics. An understanding of outdoor lighting and an ability to create depth and atmosphere within an image A good sense of form, weight and space Understand the importance of narrative, even in the simplest of scenes Software and Technical The candidate needs to have a high level of competency with the required software.
