Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Multi-Skilled Shift Leader to join our commercial & retail contract in Victoria, London. The role is a continental shift pattern, days and nights. The Shift leader will have building services experience to work and lead a small team of Service and shift Engineers to achieve service delivery objectives including PPM and reactive call completion within SLA/KPI, health and safety compliance for site and staff, customer service, quality assurance, statutory compliance and adherence to NG Bailey systems and procedures. The Shift Leader will have Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) experience in a building services environment and have current Mechanical AND/OR Electrical Qualifications. Responsibilities You will: * Lead your team in provision of excellent service delivery by monitoring service performance, taking corrective action when necessary across the client's premises and escalating to the Contracts Manager. * Provide first line management and leadership to contract dedicated team, setting team objectives and individual performance management reviews * Deliver PPM relating primarily to Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Plant and System's in-line with agreed programmes / SLA's in order to meet Client and Statutory Compliance. * Ensure Technicians PPM work is undertaken in-line with agreed timelines/ SLA's, PPM backlog is maintained at a realistic level and all Reactive Work is completed within acceptable timescales and SLA standards. * Checking completed work and documentation by Technicians and ensuring compliance with current legislation. * Costing and completing Reactive Works identified through PPM work undertaken when requested. * Provide Service Support as part of a team providing quality service delivery 24/7, with a requirement to be part of the out of hour's emergency call out team. * To maintain premises to an exceptionally high standard Requirements You will have: * Previous experience working at Senior Level, probably as Multi-Skilled Technician, experienced on Industrial, Commercial & Domestic manufacturers systems, carrying out PPM's in line with SFG20 or equivalent with advanced fault finding diagnostic experience. * Capable of Supervising Reactive Repairs and Small Projects. * Knowledge and experience of all round building maintenance related disciplines such as HVAC and chiller systems (standard Splits, VRF AC Systems, Air Cooled Chillers etc) with the ability to carry out maintenance and fault finding. * Experienced in Statutory & Mandatory Compliance Maintenance Records / Certification and uploading onto Service Systems. * If Electrical Bias: * City & Guilds Electrical discipline competency Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent. * 17th / 18th Edition IEE Regulations * And be conversant with Electrical Plant related Building Services PPM's carried out in-line with SFG20 and resulting Reactive Work. * OR If Mechanical Bias: * NVQ Level 2-3 (Mechanical Discipline e.g. Heating and Ventilating 6018) OR City and Guilds (Mechanical Discipline) * And be conversant with Mechanical Plant/Plumbing related Building Services PPM's carried out in-line with SFG20 and resulting Reactive Work. * Ideally all candidates would have completed a Mechanical OR Electrical apprenticeship * IOSH Working / Managing Safely (Desirable) * Safe system of Work Procedure - PTW; RAMS etc. (Desirable) * L8 Training (Desirable) About Us We are one of the leading independent engineering and services businesses in the UK.
