Together, we can help people build stronger communities - we're just getting started. Summary: Facebook seeks a highly motivated, team player to serve as Regulatory & Litigation Counsel for EMEA. You will focus on leading our responses to regulatory inquiries on ground-breaking issues relating to data privacy, consumer protection and more; as well as supporting precedent-setting and complex multi-national litigation on these issues. The role requires good judgment, a strong work ethic, and a keen interest in learning about new technologies and areas of the law. This is a great opportunity to join a growing legal team and to work on novel issues of global significance in a fast-paced, fun environment. This role is to be based in London or Dublin. Required Skills: 1. Manage responses to data protection and other regulatory inquiries, as well as any appeals of regulatory decisions 2. Guide and execute strategy in relation to high-profile, precedent setting matters pending before national and European courts 3. Supervise and direct outside counsel on these contentious regulatory matters and complex litigation, across Europe 4. Excellent credentials from top law school 6. 4+ years PQE litigation experience, including experience dealing with regulatory investigations and/or matters before higher courts, ideally across multiple jurisdictions 7. Specific experience of regulatory litigation and data protection/privacy preferred but not required 8. Prior experience working with internet or technology companies a plus 9. Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and make sound judgments under tight deadlines 10. Candidates must be flexible, willing to work on projects in other areas, and excited to deal with the unexpected 11. Passion for technology and innovation 12. Knowledge of, or fluency in, other European languages a plus Industry: Internet
