Job Description
Were looking for a Business Development Representative to help us supercharge sales through an important stage of Flock's growth. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced startup in an emerging industry with opportunities to develop your skills, uncover your potential and progress your career as we grow. Youll join our Sales and Marketing team who are focused on identifying, engaging and selling insurance and risk intelligence to some of the largest drone operations in the UK and Europe. Youll act as the gateway between future prospects and Flock, playing a key role in representing the company and communicating how we help commercial drone operators with market-leading insurance. As the Business Development Representative, youll be working on researching prospects, conducting outreach, scheduling meetings, building relationships with key organisations in the industry and helping sales sell. In this role, youll report to our Head of Sales and Marketing and work closely with the rest of the sales and marketing team. Youll spend your time on: * Developing a deep understanding of the drone industry to align Flocks proposition with current trends and challenges the market is facing * Owning the BDR pipeline and process for Flock, researching, identifying and engaging new sales opportunities for Flock * Working with your dedicated Sales Manager and the marketing team to identify and nurture ongoing strategic targets * Demonstrate the value of our offering through phone calls, email, LinkedIn and find other creative ways to communicate * Research your target companies and prepare executive summaries to help supercharge the UAV Sales Manager ahead of their calls; * Diligently update Hubspot, our CRM, to stay current on leads and follow-ups * Help push deals further down the funnel by engaging with prospect executives and supporting the sales lead in their conversations * Supporting the Sales and Marketing team with other key research and administrative tasks Requirements * You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. You should be a great writer, speaker, and listener. * Adept at desk research. Whenever you have a problem, you know how to find the answer. You know how to use your laptop to uncover everything from company contact details to the latest news about a certain type of drone * Youre a born salesperson - fearless and willing to hop on the phone and chat with new people every single day to explain Flocks value proposition, convincing leads to schedule meetings with our sales team * The courage to challenge the status quo when logic and reason require it.
