## Overview Premium Mass at Kao. With iconic brands like John Frieda, Guhl, Biore, Curel and Jergens the Premium Mass Division offers consumers skin and hair care products of the highest quality for the best product experience. The role: * Strategic leadership and commercial management of the Pure Play ecommerce channel with particular focus on Amazon. * Responsible for delivering against KPIs for the total channel & specific customer P&Ls. * Excellent and proactive customer management both internally and externally across categories, ensuring that Kao brands win at point of purchase. * Owner of the customer strategy working with the Business Channel Controller, Commercial Director and other key stakeholders within and across the Kao Group * Demonstrates strong leadership for customer business & national accounts team * Acts as UK lead for the internal Global Amazon customer team What you will do: * Deliver/exceed annual budgeted Net Sales, Trade Spend and Marginal Income of Kao's brands across the Pure Play channel. * Lead the development and delivery of all category Joint Business Plans to ensure delivery of the mutual KPIs. Track and course correct plans with monthly reviews across customer trading teams. * Responsible for managing Kao investment with customers to ensure the return is maximized * Work closely with shopper & brand teams to ensure visibility & conversion in the channel are maximised * Create the Kao / customer strategy which is aligned to Kao business strategy, customer shopper strategy and channel objectives * Communicate this internally within the business and drive alignment to ensure execution initiatives are developed against this * Part of this will involve proactively generating a differentation plan which defends the Kao business and delivers profitable growth * Lead the development/maintenance of a professional and proactive commercial relationship with the customer that enables Kao to have a disproportionate influence with the customer and thus maximise business growth and opportunities. Strong leadership & flexibility is required to operate at all levels within the customer organisation * Demonstrate leadership within the NAM team on the account management fundamentals including monthly & annual forecasting, financial management, promotional analysis and optimization, working with category colleagues to understand shopper insights and build a plan to action these * Contribution to Kao UK - contribute positively to the total UK mass team via multi-functional project based work * Actively demonstrate strong leadership against the Kao leadership values What you will need: * BSc/BA Hons degree or equivalent - 2:1 or better * Min 6 years of experience in an account management / online retail role in FMCG environment * Experience managing or working for Pure Play Retailers in particular Amazon * Health and Beauty Experience preferred but not essential * Experience in managing a business with P&L accountability * Experience of working with multi-functional teams both internally and externally to deliver results * Experience in developing and managing a customer strategy across channels * Demonstrated capability at driving the customer's agenda within the business and pro-actively driving differentiated executions aligned to the customer's strategy * Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills * Demonstrated capability in forecasting and financial analysis * Leadership - Driving your agenda with the customer and within the business * Strong collaboration and teamwork are essential * Strong Communication skills * Relationship builder with impact and the ability to impact and influence across functions * Proven success in managing a number of projects to tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities * Enthusiastic with both their work and within the workplace Who we are: Founded in Japan in 1887, Kao is passionate about making a difference in people's lives with our high quality products and services that make the life of our consumers and customers more beautiful.
