As a Repairs Operator your role will be to handle housing repair calls from a variety of customers ensuring correct procedures are followed and appropriate contractors called. In addition you will be responsible for responding to calls received from service users to ensure that they provide reassurance, comfort and assistance in a calm and friendly manner. Working Pattern: You will work 17:00 - 22:00 on a 4 on 4 off basis. Key Responsibilities: To take calls and operate all procedures in accordance with Customers. To identify on selection of any call, which procedure will be required to deal with any situation quickly and efficiently. To report to the management team any malfunction on Response Centre equipment. To deal with calls made to the out of hours repairs desk, passing on repairs to the nominated contractor. To attend staff meetings as and when required. To achieve the required quality standard on calls in line with TSA standards. Log details accurately Assess if the repair is an emergency Pass to the appropriate contractor Update all systems Ensure the housing association etc. is made aware of all emergency calls passed Administrative duties to ensure all paperwork is kept in an orderly fashion including filing, shredding, scanning, faxing Action any repair requests taken by response operators To be successful: * Excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal efficiently and professionally with all customers. * A clear and friendly telephone voice. * Excellent communication skills with a good level of spelling, grammar and punctuation. * Competent in using a variety of IT systems and data entry skills. * Ability to work calmly and accurately under pressure. * Experience of working in a call centre/contact centre environment. * A recognised customer service qualification is desirable.
