Job Description

Software Developer A software developer is required to join an organisation based in Coulsdon, Surrey who are backed by a large private equity The organisation has a variety of clients within aerospace, defence, Government and NGO organisations. Their information helps their clients make impactful decisions. You will not be working on classified projects and security clearance is not essential. Tech Stack: JavaScript (ES5 and ES6), CSS3, HTML5, JQuery and Javascript UI frameworks i.e. Vue.js and Knockout, C#, .NET and D3.js What will you do? You will join a dedicated, cross-functional team in an agile environment. You will be in one of their three feature teams made up of six individuals (developers and tester's), helping to: * Build customer facing applications to connected data, including both web applications and web services * Guide and execute their UI/UX framework, driving our transition into modern, modular frameworks * Liaise with internal departments including product management and analyst teams * Aid transition to the cloud * Support and drive their agile processes We would like to hear from you if you have: * Circa 1 - 4 years industry experience * Expertise in HTML 5, CSS 3, Typescript and JavaScript (ECMAScript 6) including libraries such as Vue.js, Knockout, JQuery etc * Knowledge of UI security issues and best practices to reduce vulnerabilities * Experience with Unit and Functional Testing frameworks * Familiarity with RESTful web services * An appreciation of the value of compromise and teamwork. Putting the team first in order to make the greatest impact. * Knowledge of agile development practices (Scrum, XP, Kanban etc) * A desire to learn, mixed with a curiosity to understand how and why things work * Willingness to participate in all parts of the software development life cycle.
