They have reached out to us, to help assist with the search for a Senior Lead Negotiator for their Aldershot office. The Senior Senior Lead Negotiator is responsible for individual contribution as part of the Global Contracting & Commercial Solutions Group. Requirements and competencies to be considered for this position: * BA/BS required (or regional equivalent education). * 7+ year experience in law firm and/or global corporation. Outsourcing/supplier experience desirable. * Contract and commercial drafting and assessment experience required, including a level of client (internal or external) engagement. * Ability to provide guidance/interpretation on existing contract provisions. * Good written and verbal communication skills in the local language and English. * Demonstrable knowledge and judgment about contractual and commercial risks/issues in transactions. * Extensive experience in ensuring consistent management of proposals and contracts. This generally includes oversight of the contract management process, as well as development of specific standards for bidding and submission, contract negotiations and document management. The contract manager's role in the contract development process requires close collaboration with various departments, including clinical operations, project management, account management, business operations and finance. * In-Life Contract and Commercial Solutions being continually developed and refined. * Good working knowledge of the fundamental legal provisions of commercial contracts. * Good working knowledge of the commercial risks/issues of commercial contracting. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide advice and support in connection with a range of contract types, including drafting and reviewing change control notices, small contract documents, legal research and contract interpretation. * Business governance support * Work in tandem with a senior lead, if assigned, to assess and draft contractual provisions. * In-Life Contract and Commercial Solutions being continually developed and refined. * Proactive monitoring of Early Warning and profit leakage triggers - with ongoing development of handling plans. * Provide contract administration such as sending notifications, letters, claims, and contract variations. * Major contract obligations monitoring - including margin affecting clauses and proactive development of handling plans to best leverage the contract. * Ongoing development of detailed contract management plans and quarterly account reporting focusing on opportunities and issues. * Provide ongoing expert advice to account teams regarding legal and commercial implications of specific terms and conditions in contracts. * Provide commercial / contract support to client account/sales teams. * Adherence to client policies, procedures and processes. * Provide transactional support in connection with a range of commercial and associated key subcontract agreements. * Assist account teams with change control notices and amendments to existing agreements. * Oversee organizational contract development and management activities, and enforce organizational principles of integrity and compliance. * Ensure that contracts and proposals are properly entered into organizational databases and securely maintained. * Perform appropriate clinical, administrative and operational research to support proposal and contract development. * Engage relevant stakeholders in negotiation decisions involving legal or regulatory requirements, contract standards and cost targets. * Develop and execute negotiation strategies that minimize potential losses and benefit the organization's financial performance. * Develop standards for contracts, including presentation of budget, payment terms, general language and provisions * Maintain deadlines on deliverables and communicate on an ongoing basis with business partners and internal clients about contractual issues. * Review contractual performance of both parties to ensure compliance with terms and to identify conflicts or changes requiring resolution at contract renewal. * When not a sole individual contributor, potential management opportunity for smaller groups of Contract Analysts / Contract Managers directing tasks, undertaking work reviews and governance checks focused on specific domain / region / industry expertise.
