Financial Analyst Description Closing Date: 27th May 2020 This is a fantastic career opportunity in Peterborough for a Financial Analyst who is looking for progression as part of global business. You will support the Planning, Forecasting and Reporting Leader and her team of Business Partners with your sharp analytical skills to create financial reports that will impact key decisions for the business on a global scale. The team is visible on a global scale so you must be professional, assertive and confident to speak with colleagues at all levels. Responsibilities; * Support the Planning, Forecasting and Reporting Leader with adhoc business case analysis and modelling on supply chain, commercial and functional areas. * Monthly management of accounts for the global business including income statements, working capital, capital expenditure and commentary on performance with explanation of variances * Compile and prepare various reports for senior leadership including (but not limited to); inventory reporting, Foreign Exchange Reporting, Global Credit Reporting and Excel Report Developments. * Assist the Business Partners with the preparation of Global packs as and when required. * Conduct consolidation, trend and order portfolio analysis on global data to allow better forecasting. * Partner with teams across Cummins Generator Technologies, with support from the Business Partners within the team. * Collaborate with the Business Partners and PFR Leader on various finance projects designed to improve processes. * Analysis of promotional and marketing investments in detail to support better reporting to the functions business partner. * Other ad-hoc duties as an when required in the PFR team. Qualifications To be successful in this role you will need; * Existing experience working as a Management Accountant, and you ideally are either CIMA newly qualified, or a CIMA finalist. * To be data driven with exceptional analytical skills to solve problems and draw meaningful conclusions. * To demonstrate a tenacious personality, with the ability to manage a high volume of work and adapt to new situations. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey a clear understanding of the needs of the business. * A natural rapport building ability teamed with a collaborative working style. * A creative and dynamic individual with a genuine passion to progress within a finance role.
