At our site in Huntingdon we are looking to recruit a Team Leader within the Cardiovascular (CV) Safety Pharmacology team. The Team Leader is to manage a team of analysts for specialist Cardiovascular data capture and analysis as well as maintain and develop the systems required to support safety pharmacology. Job Responsibilities will include: * Ensuring that operational support from the CV team is aligned and resourced to match strategic goals * Ensuring that the technologies required for assessment are developed to support the business for the future * Managing the CV analytical team for safety ensuring high scientific quality and GLP compliance * Developing, training and appraising staff * Validating new systems and changes to existing systems as appropriate to support conduct of studies * Performing appropriate analytical techniques and develop analytical tools to support studies and efficient analysis of data * Developing strong relationships with internal departments, global CV team, harmonise procedures * Determining suitability of subjects for allocation to study along with study preparation (equipment/staff etc.) * Maintaining background data (CV, respiration, arrhythmias), transmitter and hardware records What Covance can offer you: * Competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package including health cover and contributorypension * Unrivalled opportunities to develop a successful career in the scientific industry with a variety of studies of varying complexity * Unsurpassed career development opportunities * Flexible working arrangements * Relocation costs may be available Covance has helped pharmaceutical and biotech companies develop one-third of all prescription medicines in the market today so if you want to help lead and be part of a team that helps to bring the miracles of medicine to market sooner then please apply now. Education/Qualifications: * BSc with industry experience however PhD, DVM or equivalent degree is desirable Experience: * Significant practical experience in Cardiovascular safety pharmacology with supervisory responsibilities working to Good Laboratory Practice standards * Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders with an excellent understanding of individual needs * Excellent attention to detail and time management skills with the ability to analyse data * Ability to validate new systems and perform method analysis * Knowledge and/or experience of Ponemah platform desirable Employment Type: Full Time
