Job Description

Duties: + Read and analyze news articles/broadcast/social media clips relevant to Facebook Inc. + Translation of press materials on a tight timeframe (e.g. newsroom posts that we don?t have time to translate via i18n as they are in response to a crisis) + Prioritize respective Facebook clips and compile into daily reports as needed. + Compile daily briefing book for when Facebook Executives from Menlo Park visit the region + Compile media coverage reports as requested for major launches and events that need to go back to Menlo Park HQ (estimate 5-10x per week) + Use Cision?s TrendKite measurement in their languages (including correcting sentiment tags) + Support additional media research for Facebook's public policy and communications activities. + Not sure if we?ll need these, but maybe we keep them in here for now? + Prioritize multiple tasks and manage time efficiently. + Learn quickly in a fast?paced, ever?changing environment. Skills Skills: + Fluency in English + [language]. Fluency in additional major European languages or Arabic is a plus + Ability to commit a minimum of 30-40 hours per week in relevant country?s Facebook office. + Previous internship or professional experience in policy, research, or communications preferred. + Demonstrated interest in politics, public policy, and technology. + Exemplary verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. + Ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully. + Experience in the Internet technology industry is a plus.
