Company Description Precious Homes are looking for Senior Support Workers to work in our Supported Living Service which is located in South East London. We can offer full time contracts of 37.5 hours per week at 8.16 per hour Job Description The role of Senior Support Worker can be challenging and demanding but also immensely rewarding. You will be working as part of a team and on an individual basis to support adults with learning difficulties to do everyday tasks throughout the day and night. Your role may mean you spend time helping our service user(s) find work on occasions or that you go for a leisurely stroll in the park with them. You will be responsible to help with intimate personal care of service users and complete daily records of activities. As our service users may need 24 hour support we ask that our Senior Support Workers are flexible in working patterns across Monday to Sunday; including bank holidays and there are allocated sleep in duties each week. As a Senior Support Worker you will be required to: - Show an exceptional commitment to delivering person-centered services including assessment, person centred planning, key working and individualised support. Work as part of the management team which will involve leading a team, on a rota basis, to provide support to meet service user needs which promotes independence, choice and inclusion in the community in which they live. Support service users, staff, relatives, advocates, professionals and anyone the service user wishes / needs to have in their lives to understand, agree, implement and review support and / or care plans. Carry out key working duties and responsibilities; keeping the service user at the centre of all such activities. Support the manager and other senior support staff to lead on effective person centred approaches in delivering a high quality service. Qualifications A relevant NVQ 3 qualification or working towards in care is essential as is experience of working within learning disabilities and complex needs (minimum two years experience) and training in Autism, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults, Mental Capacity Act and Dolls.
