An exciting role for a technology enthusiast, interested in learning and writing about innovative technologies being developed in the UK. It is also an opportunity to learn about Research & Development (R&D) tax legislation in the UK, and how this legislation is applied and rewards the companies that carry out the R&D. The role is ideal for a computer scientist or other engineering university graduate who is interested in gaining a broad knowledge of current R&D areas in the UK. It will involve collaboration with a large PwC team of legislation and technology experts. Typical activities to be performed include: * Preparation of emails to send to engineers being interviewed * Join technology interviews and write detailed notes * Write initial drafts summarising the technology interviews * Research to help summarise the technology terms discussed * Write documents that summarise the R&D analysis process * Work with tools [e.g. Power Point] to prepare presentations * On the job training to learn and summarise areas of technology * Optional: Work with tools [e.g. Excel or Alteryx] to help quantify R&D Preferred skills * Effective verbal and written communication skills (English) * Computer science or other engineering related university degree or masters * Strong technical documentation writing skills * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google's office suite * Optional: Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (or Alteryx) tools * Enthusiasm about learning new technologies and writing summaries of these * Consistently demonstrate teamwork dynamics by working as a team member * Takes responsibility to complete tasks in time and at a high standard * Contribute to a positive working environment building collaborative relationships with team members (India and UK); proactively seek guidance and feedback * Committed to continuous training and to proactively learning * Ability to analyse and anticipate requests and act according to expectations * Degree or Masters in a computer science or engineering related discipline Education (if blank, degree and/or field of study not specified) Degrees/Field of Study required: Degrees/Field of Study preferred: Certifications (if blank, certifications not specified) Desired Languages (If blank, desired languages not specified) Travel Requirements Available for Work Visa Sponsorship?
