AECOM is a Fortune 500 firm with revenue of approximately $20.2 billion during fiscal year 2018. we are looking for an experienced Planner to be part of the UK&I aviation team, providing aviation masterplanning services across the Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Region, and to support the global business as required. Our core EMEA aviation teams are based in the UK (Basingstoke, Telford, Manchester, Croydon) and Madrid, and focus on delivery of aviation projects ranging from initial planning studies, concept and preliminary design, through to detailed design and implementation. We often work alongside other construction professionals in multi-disciplinary teams, delivering sustainable cost effective solutions to our clients, whether they are local or national authorities or private developers. Work is often fast paced and requires creativity, tenacity and excellent communication to achieve the right result for our clients whilst respecting the requirements of wider stakeholders and maintaining the highest industry standards. Key Responsibilities: + Undertaking a wide variety of aviation planning projects involving due diligence, feasibility studies and masterplanning on landside, terminal and airside developments; + Undertaking the assessment of the capacities of runways, taxiways systems, aprons, terminals, surface access and cargo facilities; + Reviewing development plans and advising clients; + Assessing project phasing and capex against requirements; + Coordinating analysis with other AECOM disciplines where required; + Preparation and delivery of presentations, analysis and reports within tight deadlines and across multiple projects simultaneously; + Work winning, including the identifying and tracking prospects; developing client relationships and preparing proposals Minimum Requirements + Significant and demonstrable aviation experience which should include planning, designing, procurement and construction of aviation airfields, buildings, developments, and working winning + Excellent working knowledge of ICAO planning and design standards and regulations and IATA planning guidelines + Understanding of appropriate national standards such as those of the FAA , EASA and UK CAA is desirable; + Experience of simulation modelling (landside, airside) Preferred Qualifications + Degree educated or equivalent in aviation design, civil engineering, architecture, transportation or similar.
