Forcepoint is looking for a talented and ambitious Cloud Operations Engineer to join a growing Cloud Operations team. This individual will be familiar with cloud native technologies along with experience in core engineering skills. The candidate will be part of a Global team that supports an existing Data Center footprint, emerging Cloud Native systems and help build and integrate new systems into the Public Cloud. The successful candidate will have some experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies to facilitate the transition to and from a hybrid Cloud platform. Ideally skilled in monitoring and troubleshooting systems at scale. Responsibilities: Responsible for the availability, performance and monitoring of the Cloud infrastructure Closely partner with Engineering and Technical Support teams to drive resolution of critical issues Publish and implement operational standards for all Cloud infrastructure and services Create tooling and automation to continuously improve operational reliability of the on-prem and hybrid cloud infrastructure Take the lead in incident, change and problem management Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Linux systems and cloud native technologies Desired Experience and Skills: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience related to Information Technology Hands-on Experience with Git Hub, JIRA and Confluence highly desirable Experience in the deployment of Public Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) Industry certifications a plus Proficient in at least one modern scripting or programming language such as Python and Bash Useable knowledge with infrastructure automation, such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible and Terraform Hands-on experience with protocols such as DNS, LDAP, NTP, HTTP, SSL, SMTP Hands-on experience Virtualization technologies like Linux KVM, VMware Proficient in Linux System Administration. Industry certifications a plus Familiar with mission-critical databases, particularly MySQL, Redis & Cloud native databases
