Dematics year on year double digit growth is built on our on the innovative and high perfroming team of controls and electrical design engineers based at our offices in Adderbury (and Wellingbrough). We are now looking to grow this team with an experienced electrical design engineer looking for the next challenge in their career. Taking ownership for the ongoing development ofnew and existing systems is a highly technical challenge but very rewarding role. Main responsibilties: To perform electrical design activities for delivery of a Dematic customer project from project Launch to handover on site To maintain Dematic's image as a top quality, professional company, by adopting an honest, professional and attentive approach Key responsibilities: + To interpret design input information to produce electrical system designs + To produce design and manufacturing programmes + Production of all associated documentation including, but not limited to, design calculations, design/safety specifications, operation and maintenance manuals + Design and production of electrical layout and schematic drawings using appropriate CAD tools + Procurement of electrical equipment including control panels and field devices + Liaising with suppliers on technical matters + Procurement of electrical installation services and liaise with suppliers on technical matters + Liaise with electrical installation supervisors and subcontractors + Production of all associated documentation including, but not limited to Functional Design Specifications, test specifications and commissioning checklists + To produce required health and safety documentation including, but not limited to method statements and risk assessments + To commission electrical systems on site and to provide support to system integration commissioning activities This is a highly demainding but rewarding posiiton within the wprld's leading automation business. To be successful you will: + Educated to a minimum of HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or related relevant discipline + Prior experience working in a similar role, including electrical design and commissioning within an automation based industry, ideally within the automated warehouse industry + Previous use of CAD tools, (AutoCAD, EPLAN) + Working knowledge of relevant standards governing the controls automation industry + To be conversant with AutoCAD, E-plan, Word, Excel, Project, Outlook.
