Policy Expert is one of the fastest growing Home Insurance providers in the UK. Since launching in May 2011, we have been rapidly expanding and now have a headcount of over 400 experts across four sites. We have busy contact centres based in Central Milton Keynes and Motherwell which are full of dedicated, positive people who enjoy an environment focussed on teamwork and fun. Our London office is where the behind the scenes magic happens and is home to all the developers and support staff who help make Policy Expert run smoothly. Requirements Who are you? We are looking to transform our underwriting department to help with the business growth. We are recruiting an underwriting manager to join our senior management team. This role is a new position, you will be responsible for the operational implementation of the UW strategy for all Qmetric products. You will be robust in delivering the underwriting processes and procedures for the Qmetric group What youll be doing Key responsibilities will include: Underwriting team support to contact centre and claim teams and customers Case level decision making and escalated referrals Implementation of underwriting strategy Input to product design and strategy Implementation of underwriting governance and compliance framework Escalations:- o Misrepresented cases o Large claims Provide day to day guidance to key stakeholders on Underwriting issues Identify trends in operations and provide guidance and support to the business to resolve trends Manage a dedicated underwriting team Skills we need Strong experience working in underwriting in either motor or personal lines insurance ACII or working towards Understanding of personal lines markets, risk trends and products Customer awareness Team Management High level effective communicator, verbal and written Strong decision maker Team Player Ability to form strong working relationships with key stakeholders
