Job Description
Our client is based in London and is one of the major private healthcare providers. They are looking for a Senior Pharmacy Technician to join their team. There pharmacy service is committed to providing first class pharmaceutical service to patients, nurses and consultants. Staffed by a fully qualified and friendly team of pharmacists and technicians. Job Summary: As the Senior Pharmacy Technician you will assist in the provision of a comprehensive pharmacy service which consistently meet the needs of all service users. You will deputise, along with Senior Oncology Pharmacy Technician, for the Lead Pharmacy Technician in their absence. This is a full time, permanent role working 37.5hrs per week (flexibility is required with these hours) Role & Responsibilities: * Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of dispensary services and to ensure all pharmacy/ ward/patient service needs are met in liaison with the Lead Pharmacy Technician. * If in possession of a valid ACPT qualification, to final check prescriptions according to the ACPT policy. * Ensure that medicines and consumables are stored safely and securely according to the corporate medication policy and hospital protocol. * Provide medication counselling to patients. * Assist in ensuring provision of an efficient, accurate and economical ward top-up service according to hospital protocol Skills & Experience: * Registered member of the GPC * NVQ3 in pharmacy * Significant clinical experience within a hospital environment * Aseptic and medicine management experience Further information available on request If interested, please get in touch via contact details provided or click "Apply" to forward an up to date copy of your CV and ideally with a cover letter.
