Overview
An exciting new opportunity has become available for Sort Line Operatives to work with our client, who is a Waste Management specialist, based in the Peterborough area. Mechanical Lead Technician – Temporary Position 6 months minimum Duties · The Lead Technician shall be responsible for the planning of the mechanical teams daily/weekly work activity. (2x technicians & 1x apprentice) · Management of the mechanical maintenance team · Liaising with OPS to address permit issues · Ensuring parts ordered to support planned work activity · Carrying out some planned and unplanned maintenance activities to ensure safe and efficient operation of the plant · Works alongside other functions as necessary, assist with supervision of contractors. · Carry out fault diagnosis rectify as required · Conduct plant inspections and area safety inspections. · Full use of the company CCMS (HolisTech) for work planning and close out. · Ensure that all activities within the plant are carried out in a safe manner in line with the procedures. · Carry out risk assessments to ensure activities are completed in a safe manner at all times. · Prepare risk assessments and method statements for approval · Work as part of a team striving for continual improvement in minimising environmental Health & Safety risk at the plant. · Maintain a clean and tidy workplace Working hours · Based at the Peterborough site. · Normal working hours 07:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday. With ½ hr lunch o Overtime as required to ensure plant operation · Provide Mechanical on call 1 week in three Qualifications/Experience · Confined space trained · Working at Height · IOSH – minimum · Computer literate – Word/Excel/Outlook/CMMS-ideally HolisTech. · Mechanical craft apprenticeship (City & Guilds, ONC/HNC) · Supervisory Experience This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Smart Solutions acting as a recruitment agency.
