Purchasing Assistant (indirects) - Nottingham - to £21,500 great benefits Chase & Holland are excited to be working with a business they have forged a strong relationship with over the last handful of years. We are now supporting them as they look to recruit a Purchasing Assistant to work in the small Indirect team. To be considered for this role, we are looking for someone with a small amount of purchasing experience and who has a confident personality and communication skills. Purchasing Assistant responsibilities: Process indirect purchase orders (orders mainly relate to fleet, travel and mobile phones) Contact suppliers to ensure delivery due dates are achieved Liaise with stakeholders from various departments, both internal and external Updating and maintaining supplier information Support the Manager on various tenders and project work Proactively identify purchasing opportunities with indirect categories in order to support the business to reduce cost and improve service Support departmental cost savings and cost avoidance initiatives Required skills & experience: Ideally at least 6-12 months purchasing experience A genuine passion for a career in purchasing Great communication skills and confidence to deal with all level of stakeholders In return you’ll receive: The chance to work for a great business who really value their employees and are always striving to improve their employee benefits Opportunity at a later stage to study towards CIPS if you’d like If you are interested in finding out about this exciting Purchasing Assistant opportunity, please click 'apply now’.
