About the role We have an amazing opportunity for you to become Head Chef at our award winning Kielder Waterside and become part of the team that delivers the “wow” experience to all of our day and stay visitors throughout the year. You’ll be leading and managing a team to deliver high quality food and beverage services, menu development and food production/preparation for guests (food preparation, cleaning, point of sale, kitchen support, and stock taking) We’re looking for you to manage the planning and organising of food and beverage services to agreed schedules and programmes/rotas, along with the monitoring and reporting on our regular monitoring of food hygiene and other regulatory standards. We’re all about the health and safety of our customers and colleagues, so we’re looking for you to take the responsibility for this, and the personal responsibility for management and development of our food and beverage services. About you As this role is working in the food and beverage side of our leisure business, we’re looking for you to have a NVQ qualification at level 3 or above in a related discipline, like food and beverage services, hospitality, customer service. You’ll also naturally need to be able to cook and prepare meals. You’ll also need to have a Level 3 qualification in supervising food safety, along with excellent culinary skills, and excellent food and beverage product knowledge, along with an understanding of key nutritional matters What we will give you At Northumbrian Water we want you to be the best you can be and we also want you to feel it’s a great place to work.
