Role Overview Here at Dobbies Garden Centres, we are looking for an experienced Baker to join our restaurant team. As a Baker your role will be to work in all areas of food production/preparation. Duties include being responsible for preparing and providing a range of breads, rolls, pastries and cakes throughout the day, maintaining our high housekeeping standards, ordering stock, successful delivery of budgetary controls, cleaning and ensuring high levels of service all within Company guidelines. You will ensure that the business is compliant with all statutory requirements e.g. health & safety; food hygiene. In addition, our bakery teams provide ‘bakery to go' products for sale in the main store / foodhall, therefore communication is key. Our restaurants work from scratch, providing the best possible hospitality experience for our customers. About You To be successful in this role you will have proven capability as a time-served baker as well as successful delivery of production controls. You also ensure full compliance with food safety requirements. Our bakeries deliver high volume in a compact environment and therefore require a hands-on, flexible approach to work. Previous experience in a retail bakery role and holding a relevant food safety qualification would be an advantage.
