40 weeks a year amazing bens Monday-Friday, 7am- 3pm ish We are looking for a passionate food loving baker / assistant chef to join the kitchen and dining hall operations at this C of E school, based in a small Buckinghamshire village. The school offers a breakfast & lunch service with 1200 pupils to cater for in total. You will be responsible for supporting a high quality breakfast, lunch, break and school hospitality service to hungry students, staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will support the Chef in designing and planning seasonal menus in line with the School Food Plan, taking primary responsibility for the provision of high quality desserts, breakfast bakes and snacks, with the ability to also deputise on main meals. The role will entail working alongside the Catering Supervisor to monitor stock levels, and in line with budgetary constraints, ensuring the highest standards of food hygiene are adopted throughout. Ideally, the candidate should be able to demonstrate experience of excellent food production and presentation skills for large numbers, have a proven craft and a real passion for driving forward a fresh, healthy and delicious food plan for our high performing and happy school. We are looking for someone with a strong knowledge of nutrition and allergens and a passion for food, capable of producing a creative, reliable and tasty range.
