2 nd Chef, Hungerford Fresh Food Café No Evenings £24,000 We are looking for an experienced Senior CDP or Sous Chef to become part of the team at a wonderful fresh food kitchen in Hungerford. You will maintain and manage the day to day running of the kitchen and ensure your team work to the standards set by the company and the head chef. What you’ll be doing: Running the kitchen in the head chef’s absence. Ensuring high culinary standards. Managing food purchasing and storage. Maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment. Helping create new recipes and write menus. Assisting in managing, training and recruiting. All aspects of health, safety & hygiene. Candidate Requirements: Excellent cooking skills and passion to use seasonal, locally sourced produced wherever possible. An understanding of produce and ingredients. An ability to stay calm under pressure. Strong leadership skills to motivate the team. Must have previous experience within a fresh food environment. You will have a passion for creating new dishes. You will be confident running multiple sections within the kitchen. Show flexibility in and around the kitchen. You will need to show great communication skills. Attention to detail is an absolute must. Package for Sous Chef: £24,000 dependent on experience Working 5/7 days Straight shifts between 7:30am to 5.30pm Guaranteed one whole weekend off each month and a Sat/Sun off Work with a dedicated and driven team Look forward to a structured career progression through on and off job training.
