Overview
Senior Software Engineer - London I am currently recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer, to join a leading technology firm who provide platform protection. They are an award winning company, with a real focus on first class technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial experience in web development, will be familiar with distributed systems, will have strong knowledge of PHP with Laravel and JavaScript, and will embrace technical challenges. In this role you will work across several disciplines, including architecture, web-development, CI/CD, and will be part of a growing, and tech savvy organisation. Benefits: Salary: £55,00 - £65,000 25 days holiday plus bank holiday, rising with service up to 30 days Day off for birthday or one day in month if falls on weekend Health insurance Pension Flexible working hours (core 10-4.30) one hour lunch Responsibilities: Working on large-scale application Responsible for the full development lifecycle (design, development, testing, deployment). Delivering to rapid timescales in a dynamic environment. Working in a team, to estimate and deliver issues, using Agile/Scrum methodologies. Innovating, managing own work, meeting requirements, and delivering to a high standard. Communicating with internal customers, answering any questions or concerns, and establishing good relationships. Requirements Strong commercial experience, including object oriented concepts. Experience with PHP (Laravel), JavaScript, CSS, JavaScript Frameworks, Single Page Web Applications, Desktop Hybrid Web Applications, server side skills, CDNs, etc. Experience with automated testing, and CI/CD. Software configuration management (SCM) concepts and version control systems, especially Git. Familiarity with Unix/Linux systems, including scripting skills.
