Site Reliability / Platform Manager - AWS, Terraform, Docker - VERY TRENDY COMPANY My client is an award winning, cutting edge, global, independent entertainment services company that are the market leaders in their field. Technology is at the forefront of everything the company does and underpins all the services provided. Our client's current infrastructure is serving over 700 staff with three core global offices and ten smaller remote sites. The core engineering team are based in London and our client are moving from a large size business to enterprise level. This is a brand new role in the organisation - a change to make your own stamp on things. This is a 50% hands-on role and 50% man-management of a team of 7. Very much a 'role your sleeves up' position but also provide technical leadership to major projects and manage the team. You will be reporting to the Head of Engineering. From a technical perspective you will need to have strong hands on skills with either Docker i.e. setting up containers OR with Terraform i.e. implementing a Terraform IaC environment etc. The environment is AWS but GCP knowledge is good. A core focus here is to make improvements with the speed and effectiveness of the CI/CD pipelines. You will manage your project's technical goals, contribute to strategy and help develop your team. With extensive technical and leadership expertise, you will also be responsible for working with tech engineering managers to ensure requirements are understood and translated into a deliverable roadmap. You will be helping the SRE engineers with their careers and personal development, by coaching and guiding them through the day to day projects.
