Overview
Project Manager (Software Engineering) We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager (IT/Software Engineering) to join our team based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The Opportunity: The post holder will be responsible for proactively supporting our client Department for Infrastructure, Northern Ireland in the planning and deployment of its future Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Strategy. Responsible for the management, performance and completion of single or multiple projects up to £5M, assuring projects are completed within budget, schedule, contract requirements and growth of the base contract. Ensuring the provision of advice and recommendations, places the needs of the customer at the heart of their goals and, supports the vision of a continually developing ITS strategy. What we are looking for: · Considerable Project Management experience in software engineering projects or IT organization gained in a position with commercial and client relationship management responsibilities · Previous experience of leading teams and projects successfully to meet required milestones and objectives including the setting of objectives, performance management, development and cost controls · Extensive knowledge of software development, maintenance and design processes · Strong business acumen and commercial understanding · Experience in delivering project change to enable growth · Experience in project estimating and pricing · Experience in budgeting · Good knowledge of preparation of reports, manuals, procedures and status reports · Good knowledge of health and safety processes · In-depth knowledge on the use of planning tools i.e. P6, MS office project · Advanced knowledge of MS office skills (Excel, Word) About Cubic: Cubic offers an opportunity to provide innovative technology for government and commercial customers around the globe, helping to solve their future problems today.
