Support Worker (Life Enabler) Hounslow £10.55 per hour (£20,572 per annum) 37.5 hours per week Our client is currently seeking Support Workers (Life Enablers) to work in Hounslow, they are rated as outstanding by CQC. You will be supporting people with complex mental health needs and learning disabilities within the community in Hounslow. The company support more than 1500 people in a diverse range of services across London. They employ over 1000 staff and are committed to their development. You will work as part of a team, supporting people in line with their person-centred support plans, supporting them with all aspects of their daily life both at home and out and about in their community. This is a new role which will ensure the people you support are achieving person centred outcomes, maintaining and increasing their independence and skills to enable them to be active in their communities. You will focus on active support, physical and emotional wellbeing, communication and understanding and achieving purpose. Support will flex with people as their needs and life choices change. To be a successful Support Worker you will need to demonstrate: · Experience of supporting people who have learning disabilities/and or autism to become more active in their community · Ability to make and maintain great relationships with others · Ability to motivate others and build their confidence to try new things · Ability to adapt support and think around problems to develop creative solutions for people · Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberties safeguards · Ability to work within a team structure and understand the importance of team work · Ability to use a range of technology –internet, emails, Microsoft Office, , smart phone, iPad · Flexibility to work across 7 days per week and shift work early and lates.
