Head Chef Salary: Circa £30,000pa Location: The Plough Inn, Lupton, Cumbria LA6 1PJ Contract Hours: As required Set in the picturesque village of Lupton, just 4 miles away from Kirkby Lonsdale, The Plough Inn is the perfectly placed pub for guests to explore both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. Under new recent ownership we are now looking for a talented, ambitious and dedicated Head Chef to lead this fantastic property to success. We have a strong reputation for consistently good quality food, drinks and service and want to build on this and continue to drive the business forward. The Plough is a 130-cover property, holds a wedding license and offers 6 luxurious B&B guest bedrooms. What will make you perfect to be part of our team? Experience of working at this level in a busy kitchen environment is essential. A team player with strong leadership, communication and organisational skills. Manage stock control and operating a kitchen in line with food GP. Always maintain a 5-star kitchen cleanliness rating. Be creative in bringing new recipes to the table, You will be expected to help write and cost new menus. Have a genuine passion and flair for fresh ingredients along with first rate culinary skills. You will have all the relevant experience, bags of enthusiasm and the ability to communicate well. The salary which is based on a 45 hour week is all encompassing and inclusive of unsocial hour’s payment, shift pay, and weekend enhancements. Working 5 days out of 7. Training will be provided, good hours of work, share of tips. Due to location having your own car is desirable. Both full time & part time hours available.
