TRANSPORT PLANNER - NEW ROLE CREATED IN THE BUSINESS - STARTING ASAP Your new company A leading transport logistics company based out of a new client site in Wakefield. Your new role Due to winning a new contract they are looking to recruit a Transport Planner to work alongside 4 others reporting to the Planning Manager. Main duties of the role will include: Help produce cost efficient transport plans on a daily basis Advice and direction to the planning manager to ensure the department runs smoothly Identify resource requirements internally and externally for promotional uplifts To try and keep the use of fleet hire to a minimum Work to a transport budget Follow all health and safety guidelines Assist with any project work where required What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience: Good geographical knowledge for planning purposes Previous knowledge of working as a transport planner Experience of using PARAGON (desirable) Excellent PC skills - including Microsoft Excel Flexibility if transport is running late What you'll get in return This company is a great company to work for and you can get excellent benefits: Company Pension 25 days holiday bank holidays with the option to buy more Shares Incentive Onsite Parking Onsite Canteen Working hours will be: 10am - 7.30pm 45 hours per week Competitive salary of £29,300 per Annum You will work 5 days a week, 1 in 4 Saturdays and 2 in 4 Sundays What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
