Overview

This FMCG chilled food manufacturer based in Redhill, Surrey has an IMMEDIATE REQUIREMENT for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer. This role is working on an initial 3 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT (FTC). The ideal candidate for this food manufacturing client would be mechanically bias with some electrical exposure, and open to working on a 3-month contract. This maintenance engineer will be required to work on a Monday ? Friday days shift. Commutable from: Redhill, Surrey, Crawley, Croydon, Epsom, Guildford, Horsham, Guildford Salary: dependant on experience plus Overtime paid at 150% , Pension and holidays The Role of Maintenance Engineer: Support the engineering manager and production team on site with trouble shooting faults and use corrective action to ensure production downtime is minimised Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures Perform reactive and proactive maintenance on a variety of packaging and process equipment Carry out regular maintenance, PPMs and reactive where directed to Troubleshoot breakdowns across a range of equipment to minimise downtime Support line leaders and production to facilitate production efficiency Maintain documentation to provide historical records of breakdowns and PPMs Become involved with a number of projects from machinery upgrades to building work Identify spares requirements and maintain stock levels as needed The Person The ideal Maintenance Engineer: Qualified to either ONC/HNC/NVQ Level 3 engineering and maintenance Prior training in food safety and hygiene would be ideal, but can be provided Chemical awareness experience, however training can be provided HACCP experience Time served apprenticeship would be desirable The ideal candidate will have multi-skilled engineering experience in the food sector Happy to work on a 3-month fixed-term contract To apply please forward an up to date copy of your CV to Matt Griffiths or call 01789 201040 / 07455162344 This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89885413
