Overview
Graduate Mechatronics Engineer required for a growing manufacturer of special purpose machinery and production line equipment. The successful candidate will be degree qualified in a mechatronics / robotics / electronics field of study. This position is suitable for a recent graduate looking for their first engineering opportunity to grow and develop in a fast-paced environment and a growing business. Graduate Mechatronics Engineer Position Overview The key responsibility of this position will be to carry out PLC programming, HMI development and hardware design for automated and production line machinery. Following each project from conception to completion. Other duties and aspects to the role will include: Initially, the role will be in-house while gaining proficiency and further skills. Once able to commission automated systems, the successful candidate will begin going out on site to carry out commissioning duties with other engineers. Wiring of controller units. Software downloads. PLC set up in line with a defined SOP. Product electrical testing and fault finding. Programming using various languages and packages. Digital Systems and Electronics Design. Graduate Mechatronics Engineer Position Requirements Degree Qualified in a Mechatronics / Automation / Robotics / Electronics field of study is essential. Proficiency in software coding languages. Use of MATLAB, LABVIEW or C Languages would be advantageous. Proficiency in the use of PLC programming software such as Siemens S7 / TIA Portal, Rockwell Allen Bradleys or similar would be advantageous but not essential. Use of CAD packages such as Solidworks would be desirable but not essential. A pro-active and self-motivated attitude is required for this position. Training and coaching is given, but initiative will be required. Ability to read engineering drawings. A Full UK Driving Licence is essential for this position due to travel requirements. Strong written and verbal communication. Graduate Mechatronics Engineer Position Remuneration Starting Salary: £20,000 - £24,000 Dependant on Skills/Experience 29 Days Holiday Inc.
