Purpose of Role We are seeking a talented Developer with 3 or more years' relevant experience and an enthusiasm for the natural sciences. You will work on a wide range of interesting and challenging projects for both internal and external clients within the agricultural and environmental sectors. We are looking for a goal-focused problem solver who can design professional solutions and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers. Working alongside a Senior Developer, successful candidates will : Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of developing web APIs using the Microsoft .NET and SQL Server technology stack as well as user interface development for web applications. This does not have to be a back-office role. For the right person, there will be opportunities to work directly with project stakeholders to help shape requirements and to be part of driving technology initiatives within the business. We are seeking someone who can not only contribute extensive technical skills but can also bring novel and interesting ideas to develop and extend the role. Do you have demonstrable experience with building web APIs using Microsoft .NET? Are you adept at producing efficient and engaging user interfaces for web applications e.g. experience with various front end frameworks like React and Angular? Do you have an excellent working knowledge of efficient database design using SQL Server, MySQL or similar? You will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work with people at all levels and across disciplines. You will be an excellent team worker who is also capable and willing to work under your own initiative. You will be able to demonstrate evidence of working effectively and to a high standard under time pressures.
