Full Stack Software Developer / Database Developer Wolverhampton £25,000-37,000 Benefits Summary A leading, sustainable solutions provider within the environmental, engineering and technical services sectors is looking to hire a Full Stack Software Developer. For the right person there will be opportunities to work directly with project stakeholders and to be part of driving technology initiatives within the business. The Role As a talented Full Stack Software Developer, you will be expected to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of web APIs as well as UI development for web applications. You will be designing professional solutions, working on a wide range of challenging projects for internal and external clients. As part of the development within the role you will work closely with a Sr. Developer and will be expected to undertake the following: Develop, test and implement effective and engaging software applications using languages such as C# Creation of GIS-based software tools for government and private clients using ESRI and open source technologies Design of APIs for science driven software Automate spatial data management and analysis using Python and associated libraries Develop effective data storage, management and retrieval solutions using Entity Framework, LINQ and SQL queries Relational database technologies MSSQL, MySQL and PostgreSQL/PostGIS Produce modern and engaging websites using the JavaScript framework Use of TFS and Azure for CI and CD automation workflows Project manage and deliver software solutions to agreed functionality, budget and timescale Provide support and maintenance for these solutions Experience The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate usage and experience of the above mentioned software, programs and technologies. In addition, the ideal Full Stack Software Developer will possess the following: 3 or more years professional experience as a developer An enthusiasm for natural sciences Be a goal focused problem solver Exceptional communication skills Ability to engage with all level stakeholders Evidence of high quality work under time pressures If you are an experienced and capable developer, but have no experience with GIS software, training can be provided to further you developing capabilities.
