Overview
NHS Digital - Front-end Developer - Exeter - 3 month contract Your new company As the information and technology partner for national health and social care system, this company implements and designs the digital infrastructure relied upon throughout the company. The company is growing into an invaluable technology hub and aims to transform the provision and quality of health care in the UK through providing applications, platforms, services, products and capabilities. Your new role You will be part of a multidisciplinary, DevOps team. You will be designing 'beautiful' user interfaces, whilst accepting feedback from more experiences colleagues and providing constructive suggestions to other team members. The role will be in an agile environment and you will: Attend daily stand up Attend bug triage and backlog refinement sessions Attend Sprint Planning & Review sessions Work collaboratively with the other team members, the programme team and other stakeholders Attend retrospectives Deliver against sprint goal Review other developers code and attend code reviews of own code Bring new ideas and technologies to the table What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this role, you will be a T-shaped person who can contribute across the application stack. You will also possess: Strong skills in ReactJS (desirable, not essential) Progressive enhancement Knowledge and understanding of the application containerisation Be a shell script / Python ninja Experience with the Cloud What you'll get in return An exciting opportunity to join a national organisation, making a difference in the healthcare landscape.
