Software Engineer Chichester £36K - £38K & Excellent Benefits Package Permanent Our client based in Chichester requires an experienced Software Engineer. A software programming role to develop application software medical devices. Participation in code creation and delivery of robust medical devices for world-wide distribution. Meeting required product specifications along with preparation of supporting documentation. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Develop robust software from software requirement specifications. Creating software modules for Verification, Validation and Test, ensuring sign-off is obtained at each stage of development. Support preparation of design specifications and associated documentation. Ensure software is controlled and stored in line with company and Regulated Authorities standards. Work with Software Team Leader and Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Manager to ensure compliance with medical device standards. Ensure best practices are employed to maximise effectiveness and minimise non-value added work. Add value to all aspects of work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements. Assist in software/hardware validation, verification and test processes from time to time. Understand the customer requirements as set out in the Marketing Proposal. Develop software in accordance with project software development plans. Experience: Essential: C++ programming Test driven development Experience working in Linux Version control (preferably git) Developing code to regulated industry coding standards and guidelines 3 years' experience Desirable: MISRA Experience working to medical devices standards (IEC 62304) Python/Shell scripting CI IPC Interfaces (I2C, USB, UART, RS232) This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89882274
