Still struggling to find that DevOps Engineer role where you can work on multiple and interesting challenges? Our client, based in Central London have been going for 4 years' and scaled to over 200 staff in the UK. It's a tech-focussed company, working across a flat structure where everyone's ideas are valued. There's bucket loads of projects, the ability to progress with the latest tech and a variety within the role that will challenge you on a daily basis. What do we want… We're looking for a DevOps engineer, probably at a mid-level, who can integrate within their automation focussed team and help them to improve on the existing infrastructure and services. Ideally, you've got a background within development, or are strong creating scripts from scratch to deploy services automatically, as our client are looking for more Dev rather than Ops. What will you do… You'll be part of a collaborative DevOps team, deploying and maintaining the servers, software and systems that let the rest of the company thrive. You'll be able to maintain and improve on the existing platform, work with a team coming up with out of the box solutions to issues and help to influence the server architecture as the company move forward. About you… You have a passion for DevOps, a love for Cloud and enjoy automating BAU tasks so that you can focus on more interesting projects. You have a strong background within cloud environments, you are able to work across infrastructure technologies and you have the ability to code / script at a good level. You have an inquisitive nature and want to constantly develop your skills. You believe the best way to really understand technical capabilities is to break things to build them back up, or you just like designing your own solutions. The technology / experience needed… Our client hire on attitude and potential so if you don't commercial experience with all of these tools / skills don't worry. Show us your passion, where you want to be in 5 years' and it might match up; A strong background with Linux OS (RedHat, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu etc) Ability to create scripts with Python, Bash, Ruby etc A background within development with experience of languages such as Node, Java or Golang. The ability to work with automation tools (SaltStack, Puppet, Ansible etc) and IaC systems (Terraform, CloudFormation etc) with scalability in mind. Experience within cloud services (AWS, OpenStack etc), virtualised environments (VMware, vSphere etc) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes etc) Next steps… Easy, apply for the role and we'll be in touch.
